Sant Kabir has aptly quoted,
Dheere Dheere Re Mana, Dheere Sub Kucch Hoye
Mali Seenche So Ghara, Ritu Aaye Phal Hoye
Slowly slowly O mind, everything in own pace happens
Gardener may water with a hundred pots, fruit arrives only in its season
This stands true for these practitioners and many more like you, who from past six weeks have been patiently moving ahead in their sadhana, enjoying every bit of it.
While others still rolling to their sides in their beds, these practitioners have been arriving to the center, before the Sun strikes his first ray on to the Earth, every Sunday morning practicing and gradually increasing the number of Surya Namasakara, today reached the set target of 72 rounds. This every week practice has helped them understand one thing clearly that nature never works in haste, if today they are in tune with Mother Nature its only because of patience, because of regularity in practice.
In general, we always want to rush to achieve or be victorious in life…this is like a mad race, which brings us under pressure leading to ill-health, exertion, fatigue, and frustration. Moreover, it breeds indiscipline, which is forced into a habit pattern where we find ourselves either negligent or indulgent.
It is a known fact that a seed sprouts into a sapling only after some time and the sapling gradually grows into a tree with its fruits arriving in their own season. The gardener pouring a hundred pots of water will not hasten the arrival of the fruits, rather will ruin the process.
So WAKE UP!!! Its 4th Jan today, we have few days in hands as Ratha Saptami, Global Surya Namaskara Day is fast approaching on 26th Jan, and it comes only once in a year. So let us restart with the practice, but practice everyday little by little to reach the set target of 108 rounds.
At least begin to attempt. Failure in resolves is no failure in life. Rather failure in making resolves is irreparable failure in life. Do your best with patience the results will manifest in their own appropriate time, as Nature does not work in haste…………
