A. We teach traditional Hatha Yoga – Asanas, Pranayamas, Mudras, Bandhas, Shatkarmas, and other meditation practices both beginner and intermediate levels. We follow the teachings of Our Masters – Sw. Sivananda, Sw. Satyananda, & Sw. Niranjanananda.
A. Yoga helps you to come back to your base. Regular practice of Hatha Yoga helps you achieve it. You start discovering about your limitations, strengths, and weaknesses. The different practices help to develop all the faculties of a man – physical, mental, intellectual, and emotional in a harmonious and integrated way. Thus help him handle the all round challenge of the modern technological era with its hectic speed.

A. Yes by filling the online registration form. There is no registration fee. The montly fee is paid in advance on the date of joining and on every scheduled date. Fee is Rs. 1600/- per month. The sessions are from Monday to Friday. There are weekend sessions also and fee is Rs. 1000/- per month. There is a standard dress code followed by all at the yoga center. Practitioners buy the uniform from the center – a track pant and a t-shirt at the cost of Rs. 600/- and come in uniform only.
A. Please meet the Yoga teacher before you take up the sessions, discuss your concerns. Keeping in mind your health concerns, the teacher will guide you what to do and what to avoid. The yoga practices at Dhrti are structured practices made to correct the health concerns.

A. Weight reduction is possible through regular detox practices that you learn under the guidance of the teacher. Detox practices are as important as regular asanas and pranayamas. You learn all these practices under one roof. The detox practices happen once in a month at different venue Adyashakti Yogadarshana, (The Valley View Yoga and Retreat Center, off Bannergatta National Park, Bangalore).
Along with detox you learn to be persistent and gradually scale up intensifying the practices. Follow a good lifestyle, incorporate a balanced diet, sleep well, and maintain good relationships. A well balanced personal and professional lifestyle will help you achieve the desired results.
A. Yes, it is very easy to practice yoga anywhere. All you need is a will to do it & a yoga mat.
A. Never worry about flexibility. You don’t need to start off flexible to become flexible. Stiffest of the stiff people become flexible in just few sessions and they are the one who notice the results first.
A. When you feel fresh and relaxed and when your body cooperates with you practice at that time. Make sure you get enough sleep, clear your system, have a shower, and then begin.
A. No, all the bending and twisting will cause discomfort. If you have just eaten a full meal, give at least 3 hours and light meal give half an hour before you start your practice. If you are new to yoga, begin your practice in the evenings, and then gradually acquire the discipline to practice in the early mornings. Yoga is best early mornings as you are very light and must have had very little if any, say a fruit.
A. It is not advisable to practice yoga on a full bowel or bladder. But if you frequently feel constipated, have warm water and then begin with the PM series, TTK, but no inverted asanas. This will clear your bowels and will allow you to go ahead with your practice with ease.
A. It is not advisable to practice yoga on the bare floor or in open air- windy or draught places.
A. However cold it may outside, practicing yoga after a cold shower is highly recommended. Hot showers before your practice could lead to neurosis and laziness. If you are weak, suffer from an ailment that cannot handle cold showers, or the weather is excessively cold outside, shower in warm water until you get used to the idea of cold showers. But if you suffer from asthma or diabetes, try shower in cold water whenever possible – this speeds up the curing process.
A. A daily dose of asana, pranayama, yoga nidra and simple meditation practices, as well as following simple lifestyle can be distributed the whole day. At Dhrti students learn the holistic approach and apply the same daily for 10 to 15 minutes and have gained benefits. At center their learning also includes karma yoga, bhakti yoga and jnana yoga.
A. No. People of all ages can practice yoga; seniors need to practice for a shorter duration.
