Karthik Damodar Month, also known as the festival of lights, was celebrated in the month of Kartika (October – November) at Dhrti Yoga Center. This was month-long Deepotsav of Lord Damodara and listening to his lilas –  pastimes of Bala Gopala.

Ghee lamps were offered every day to Lord Damodar by morning and evening students, Damodarashtakam was recited both morning and evening times, seeking the blessings of Lord Shri Krishna.

It is said that by offering a lamp to Lord Hari in the month of Kartika one gets unlimited prosperity, beauty and wealth. All the sins committed in thousands and millions of births perish; and one attains the eternal spiritual world where there is no suffering.

The 9:30 am batch students learnt and practiced Shri Gajendra Moksha for the whole month.

The 6 pm batch students recited Srimad Bhagawad Gita, chapters  7 and 15 alternately, the whole month.

On November 1st, we had katha on Glories of Lord Damodar by H.G. Ishwar Hari Prabhuji, evening 5 – 6 pm, many souls attended to know the significance of this month.

On Uthana Ekadashi all the students received Tulasi as prasad and many celebrated Tulasi Shaligram vivaha…..
