Despite being a working day in the middle of the week, total of 32 practitioners, pardon, 32 champions were ready in position at 5:40 a.m. in their places in the yoga hall with great enthu and energy sharp 5:45 a.m. and the grand event, the yagna, began with the invocation prayer, 24 times Surya Gayatri facing the Sun.
Surya Namaskara became a complete sadhana, spiritual practice, as the practitioners incorporated asanas, pranayamas, mantras, mediation techniques, chakra rotation, thus enjoying the psycho-dynamics of Surya Namaskara in each n every round, and not just mechanically going thru 12 asanas as a physical exercise.
Our heartiest acknowledgements to one and all!
It’s a mix of first, second and third timers. We would like to appreciate the hatrick champ Prashant, two time champs Kowshik, Lakshmi, Sudha, Jaya, Chiranjeev, and Sumit. Only focused mind and conviction will bring them to these events consecutively.
We did have 3 little champs, thanks to Vaishnavi aged 7 years and Dhiraj & Anish, both aged 13 years who have proved that its not age but enthu that triumphs.
