Satsang with Swami Dharmakeerthi Saraswati
Hari Om Tat Sat!
This is kind of my first Satsang at Dhrti Yoga Centre – also one of the first Satsang I attended in the last 10 years I should say. It is with a lot of scepticism that I attended – that too on a Women’s Day. Primary expectation was that it is all about showering all praise on the Womanhood –why let down a Woman on her day!
To my surprise it was such a balanced discourse that I was treated to & was truly simple to listen to. Swamiji was so practical in her approach and I really missed my wife during the session. Believe me, once I returned home I tried my best to recollect & explain her some of the points which were very relevant to both of us as husband & wife. I consider myself to be lucky to have been there to listen to Swamiji today.
Yes, Swamiji used her Wisdom & Knowledge to explain the importance of Woman & Man being together not only for worldly pleasures but for complementing each other. Yes, it is meant to be complementary and not compete with each other.
What was way to differentiate ‘Bhuddhi’ &‘Manas’? I once again missed my wife very much. With 3 women at home (my Wife & my 2 daughters) I strongly felt on Women’s Day they missed some of the practical stories (should I say examples!) where we learn on how to play a complementing companion, a wonderful wife & a darling daughter. Positive energies of Woman & Man was so nicely explained & looked so easy to understand why a Woman & Man behave in certain ways at certain times. This is the first time I happened to hear this explanation.
The kirtan sung by Sn. Devanandji and Sn. Devashriji from Atma Darshan Yoga Ashram was melodious.
The karma yogis of Dhrti played a perfect host with all devotion & dedication.
I thank Team Dhrti for this wonderful gathering & occasion to have made MY DAY – not just a Women’s Day!!!
